Network Change Training Conference (5)

Last week, Postwatch held a Network Change Training Conference. The event was opened and closed by our Chair Millie Banerjee.

She insisted that a key issue in the success of the programme would be the attitude of Postwatch and the attitude of Post Office Ltd and she explained that: “So far, working relationships have been excellent”. She underlined that Postwatch has no right of veto over closures but it does have a right to escalate an unconvincing case for closure. She was very clear that Postwatch has to maintain its independence and its integrity and the ways to do this are to be very transparent and to have effective communications. She insisted: “This programme is our legacy”.

Undoubtedly all Postwatch colleagues attending the conference left more informed and determined to do a difficult job in a committed and professional manner.
