Network Change Training Conference (1)

Today Postwatch held a unique event - a gathering of Council members, Headquarters staff, Regional Committee members, Regional staff, and newly-recruited Network Advisers - to discuss the organisation's role in the network change programme about to be launched by Post Office Ltd (POL). Following a Government consultation, the programme will involve 2,500 compensated office closures and 500 new outreach models.

The all-day conference was held at the Department of Trade & Industry and, as well as all the Postwatch people, the event was attended by the DTI Minister for posts and three of his officials plus senior members of POL's Network Change Team. In all, some 140 were present.
