In defence of direct mail

In Britain, there's a lot of debate about the value of direct mail or - as the media love to call it - "junk mail". The same debate is taking place in the United States where direct mail volumes are vastly greater than here.

Over in the USA, Michael J. Critelli, the Executive Chairman of Pitney Bowes Inc., has recently decided to become a blogger. One of the subjects he intends to blog about regularly is posts and his first posting on the subject concerns the environmental impact of direct mail. You can read it here.

Is he right to defend direct mail or have you had enough?
