Post Office awards
Congratulations to the winners of the 2006 Best Post Office Awards announced today.
We’re particularly pleased to see the Hungerford Rd post office in Crewe, Cheshire named Best Overall Branch. Given the inevitable media attention on rural offices, it’s a timely reminder that the problems affecting the rural network are also very real ones for post offices in deprived urban and urban locations.
Postwatch is working hard to support the network in both rural and urban locations, and its worth remembering that its largely down to Postwatch that the Government will consult on both the rural and deprived urban network soon.
