Very Special Delivery?
There is just over a month left to respond to the consultation Postcomm has published on a proposed new Royal Mail sevice, Special Delivery High Value.
Royal Mail wish to exclude valuable items, such as cash and jewellery from the Special Delivery Next Day service and introduce Special Delivery High Value to cover these. This would allow customers to post items of value and to claim compensation for lost or damaged high value items. The new service would be at higher postage rates than currently charged.
Royal Mail argues that it needs to make these changes in order to help ensure that its staff are safer when delivering high value items.
