A first class performance

Royal Mail’s performance from April to September was very good across the board and the company is well on course to comfortably beat all the yearly cumulative targets in it licence. For example 94.4% of 1st class mail arrived next day (target 93%) and 99.1% of second class arrived within 3 days (target 98.5%).

This is very good news for customers who can now be confident they are buying/receiving good levels of service.

Postwatch criticised Royal Mail when its performance was poor and has no hesitation in now congratulating the management and workforce for a job being well done. Competition has clearly spurred the company to get its act together.

Isn’t it good to once again have a Royal Mail we can be proud of?

What a joke this company is! They lose 380,000 items EVERY day and then say they have never been better. Why are they not so keen to advertise the losses? I have lost 17 letters in the last 18 months including 7 recorded delivery. I only post 3 or 4 letters a month! Not avery good return is it?
