An agreement?

As most of you know by now, today Royal Mail and CWU came to an agreement over the issues that have been causing strike action since June.

It is good news that an agreement has been reached and we look forward to a speedy return to business as usual. We would urge customers to be patient over the next few days as backlogged mail makes its way through the system.

This agreement was a long time coming – with customers being inconvenienced by strikes from late June. It is important that the Royal Mail and CWU now work together to agree how future disputes can be settled without recourse to strikes.
